Attenuator test: Weber Mini Mass vs. THD Hot Plate

A while ago I ordered a Weber Mini Mass 25W from Weber Speakers. But my delivery first didn't show up as expected. So tired of waiting, I ordered a THD Hot Plate 8 Ohm from Thomann in Germany. But a few days later, before the Hot Plate arrived, my Weber Mini Mass showed up at my door.

So I did a very quick test. The Hot Plate was attenuated with -12 dB, and the Mini mass was set about 3,5 at it's scale which gave a little lower volume than the Hot plate. As I said, this was a very quick test. Also, all the switches of both the attenuators (bright switch, treble switch etc), were not switched on in this test.

I thought they sounded pretty much the same, so I decided to keep the Mini mass (which looks much cooler) and sell the Hot Plate (which is much more expensive).

By the way, attenuators are truly fantastic. I sold my Fulltone Fulldrive a few days later. There is no need for it anymore...
